Just got my 599

Picked up my 599 3 weeks ago. I got an asphalt 04 with 7000 km on it with a Hindle pipe, dynojet carb kit and sleek turn signals. New to riding street bikes but have driven dirtbikes for a while. I fly for a living and driving around in the 599 is the closest thing to flying on the ground. Anyway although I have quite a few questions I thought I´d start with a small one. I noticed the dual light bulbs in the tailight but I think I may have a problem. Ok with brakes applied both tail lights are on and strong. When brakes are released, one bulb is completely out and other is on low setting. I checked out the fuses and tightned the wiring... now the other bulb (left one) is off during normal running but both on during braking. This normal???
