Hi Don,

I read your post and was a little surprised. I just bought a 2004 Honda 599 also, and one of the things I liked about the bike was its weight and balance (light and nimble; very easy to ride). Have you ridden a lot of other bikes for comparison? If you are new to riding, any 450 pound bike is going to seem heavy at first. I still think the 599 is a great bike to start out on.
