Temp light not working

Do all the warning lights light up when the key is turned on--in order (left to right) I think they are oil, kickstand and temp. I realize they all go off when the engine starts. I just had an adjustment done to my shifter at my local Honda dealer and when I got it back only the left and middle lights come on when I turn the key on. I could have sworn that they were all working when I left it to be worked on. They tell me that the temp light is not supposed to come on unless it gets hot.
