i think i´m gonna stay away from the gtr50 due to high operating costs..autopac is currently making new legislation regarding this bike. it will be classified as a class three motorcycle and will be around 1800(cdn in MB) per year to insure, divisible by 5 riding months if you want to make monthly payments, otherwise its 6 bux in the off season permonth. i figure if even i got one good season of riding at scooter insurance rates, it would defeat my intentions of buying a scooter(economy/efficiency) if operating costs are as much as a road bike. in effect it would be more economic to drive my car which only costs 600 to insure per year (i don´t drive much lol) however i love the bike and i wish autopac could lighten up on scooter insurance....but that´s a matter for the powers that be :P
