2004 RK Custom front brake ´howl´

My ´new´ 04 RK Custom has an annoying ´howl´ when you do a light to average braking. This is coming from the front wheel. It builds-up. Like an oscilation. It is quiet when you do a hard braking. It stops fine - but it´s annoying. I drove an 04 demo (w/300 miles) that did the same thing. When my bike arrived and it did it, the dealer said it would go away. Well, 3200 miles later it´s still doing it. I´m thinking it has something to do with the style of wheel. Are other RK Custom owners experiencing the same thing?

Also, regarding the front brake, has anyone noticed a scraping sound when you aren´t using the brake at all? I haven´t replaced the stock pipes, so it probably won´t be noticed when that happens, but still another annoying factor. Again, my dealer (and two others) have said it will go away with miles. :(

Love the bike. Want to do a bunch of things to it. ($$)
