I got my 2004 model to serve as a compromise: a road bike with some offroad capabilities. Good for both? Actually she´s not good for either. A heavy brute on soft ground and just barely liftable after a spill. If you go slowly, the front wheel slides every which way on mud - keep up the speed or spill.
As a street bike she´s not as comfortable as my previous bikes - agony to sit more than an hour, and even worse for the pillion, who cannot shift position. The high riding position makes me look massive in rear view mirrors - which is useful to urge cars to move out of the way - almost like driving a Cagiva Elefant! Anyway, I´m changing for something lighter - a Honda VTR maybe. There isn´t much terrain around here anyway.
