Sachs 650 an aquired taste, proof of the pudding.... |

Read all the threads. Mine was a 2003 model and it was: 1. flippin´ cheap, £1,000 for a 2003 bike with 8,000 miles and a new MOT sounded good 2.I did like the look of it 3. It is a bit different; not a lot out there! It is an aquired taste as I mentioned in the Sachs 2002 thread. I reserve judgement on the reliability angle as I´ve only had mine for 2 months. Let me ride it through the spring/summer and lets see. Also as a shorter stroke single you have to ride it ´like you stole it´. It will chug along as long as its in the right gear. As a rule of thumb 1st is 10mph 2nd 20 mph 3rd 30 mph 4th 40 mph and 5th 50 plus mph. Otherwise if you ride in a high gear at low speed you get ´chain snatch´. So far OK with me. Dave |
