Is my Sachs 650 Roadster really the only one that is a dog?

The majority of tests and reviews of the Sachs 650 Roadster give this bike a very high rating. I disagree. In a year and a half of ownership mine has spent much time back at the dealers. In only 10,000 miles I have needed:
Oil leaks to cylinder head repaired (3 times)
Replacement speedometer (2 times)
Replacement tachometer
Replacement front brake disc (2 times)
Replacement fork seal
Relacement rear shock absorber
In addition to this, I found that the bike will not run properly on cold mornings (most mornings where I live) due to carb icing. I was also a little shocked to find my rear brake pads completely worn out after only 5,000 miles. The reason for this is obvious. The rear brake pedal does not return after being applied. This means after using your rear brake, the brake remains applied even after you remove your foot from the pedal. The calliper is in excellent condition and no linkages are corroded. The design just does not work.
The happiest moment I have had with this bike is when I woke up one morning to find it had been stolen. Unfortunately the police found it dumped less than an hour later.
