I got a used Comet for about $1700 US dollars in Korea. It costs less than $3500 new here. I love everything about it. I was thinking of shipping it back to the US when I leave but I don´t know the costs or maintaining it there. The thing about Korean stuff is that it costs nothing to get parts or labor in Korea so they don´t care too much if something needs to be replaced every year or two. (like the gear box) it cost me $400 to redo the entire front after I crashed it. The front tire cost $40 installed. They replaced the brake pads for $8. Thats parts and labor. So when you Australians complain...just keep in mind that your import tax and labor is screwing you, not the bike.
