Hi!
I read an article about hyosung comet 250 on some australian www and because of the positive opinion I finaly decided to buy one. Not expensive, nice looking, and - acording to the test - good bike to drive!
Nice bike, at least for the first 1000 km... but then, when you´re allowed to rev it and ride it normally... well let´s face it: it´s crap!
It was seid: "our front disc had a slight warp, which is a straightforward warranty job"
Same way here, but unfortunatelly there is no warranty job to be done, because brakes and tires are not covered by warranty! by the way, this nasty vibrations are not caused by the brakes but front Tyre! So I`ll have to replace the front tyre, which is worth a **** anyway, so I would have to replace it even when it wouldnt be faulty.
Second major problem is suspension. Especially rear damper (not adjustable, of course!) makes ride extremely scary due to lack of rebound damping. Whole chasis is bouncing, jumping over bumps and the bike feels in bumpy turns really like old woman bicycle. I don´ have to mention this ****ty rear tyre, do I? If I want to solve this "few little problems", it would cost me front+rear tyre, new rear damper(serial damper can´t be disassembled + oil can´t be changed!!!), new oil in front fork... makes about 40% of what the bike is worth now....
So, you see, I´m really **** off because of buying that kind of **** (I havent spent a fortune on it, which is gooooood!) that can´t be upgraded at reasonable costs, but even so, the problems I mentioned are there on every single comet 250!!! If you ever tried real motorbikes before, you ´ll sooner or later agree, that this is a chep ****ty bike thet doesn´t deserve to be named a motorbike... let´s say, it is somehow strange looking chopper! Save your nervs and DON´T buy this bike! end of story!
