I have been currently riding a 1986 500 honda interceptor and have been looking for a newer 600. I have test ridden a 2002 yamaha R6 and a 99 ZX-6. The difference was more than i thought imaginable. I did not even tap into the bikes capabilities. Stabillity, cornering, braking and acceleration were all greatly heightened. However i must admit comfort was lost upon the newer models. Never the less, Being a younger man of 17 years old will be more than happy to give up the comfort for the added performance. I think from a old i believe it was a gpz 900 to a new R1 yuo will be overwhealmed.
