I got a true Friday afternoon job: the electrics needed replacing (completely) within the first month. The whole left-side exhaust assembly fell off. The starter motor failed. Oil seal blew at 50mph in traffic and it dumped all its oil over me, the rear tyre and the rear brake (lovely - I´d passed my test just a month earlier). The rear light and brake lights worked...but only rarely. The paint started to wear badly after three months and about 4,000 miles (used in all weathers but always garaged overnight). All fixed under warranty by Moto Guzzi, but it was a walking disaster. A horrible bike. Traded it in after six months for a Honda Hornet 600. Better built, faster, more agile, more fun, reliable, brilliant. Italian charm? Never again!
