I have a 03 zx9 and race street and sometimes strip,my bike has titanium aftermarket pipe, jetted, and k@n filter,with15t and43t front and rear vortex sprokets.I am a 215pound rider,Win some loose some.If you can run a 1.6 or 1.7sec 60foot and have good reaction time you are hard to beat!the 1000 has to fight that front end and not just anyone can launch that bike.I can run a 10.50with my weight.Check specs of your bike year against mine, also weight matters.Sprockets REALLLYYYY help through first 1/8 mile, but will hurt top end a little.but do you really want to run 170 or get to 160 faster?Your ability plays a big part.I see 1000s that run low 10s I also see1000S only run 11s and all in the middle.
