Hi. I am getting a bmw 1150 RT in a week or so. I am very interested in GPS for it - I have used a hand held magellan for car trips and hiking for years. I see the new bmw model is the garmin 2610. Does anyone have any info on whether the 2620 would be okay - it has an actual hard drive of some kind built in so the entire street detail for entire USA is in the unit. I have heard conflicting info about whether the hard drive will hold up to vibration on motorcycle. They are okay according to Garmin for auto use. Also, does anyone know about a mounting system if I decide to do my own - I can save about $500 by doing it myself. Thanks Paul |
