I took a test ride a couple of weeks ago in Simi Valley, CA. The balance is suprisingly good for a big cruiser. Much nicer than the Honda 1800. The clutch is very smooth. Shifting is a bit clunky. Brakes are very good and steering is light and smooth. The saddle is large and comfortable. Feels like gel-filled padding. Foot pegs are too far rearward for a tall person. Probably fine if you´re 5´10" or less. Acceleration is awsome! Very quick to 3 digits. Still pulls strong at 120. Very smooth power band. Much different experience than riding a big V-twin. I really liked the performance. Didn´t like the looks: Tank is much too wide and the engine looks like the front half of a straight six out of the family car. |
