Glad to hear positive vibes about the R III. I ordered one sight unseen and hope it will be all its purported to be. Also hope Triumph can keep its market share. They do not seem to get the press that other makes get. Just read a review of the Kawasaki 2000 in one of the major bike mags. The article gave it a rave review and said nothing could come close and then gave a passing mention to the R III and said, "But that is $1500 more." The dealer I go to sells Yamaha, Kawasaki and Triumph. They have an ad on the local television which mentions Yamaha and Kawasaki but not Triumph. Makes me wonder if they will be supporting Triumph in the future as their Triumph salesman also just abruptly left the dealership. How will Triumph compete now that the motorcycle "craze" seems to be levelling off? I currently own two Triumphs and they are excellent machines but Triumph must get this across better than they have.
