Hi,
I bought a 2004 85 SX for my wife who races quads and rides bikes. We had the same problem. Got it home from the dealer, I rode it down the driveway and it died. I took the plug out and cleaned it and tried to start it and the kick starter bolt sheared and the kick starter fell off. Took it back to the dealer the put a new plug in the bike and fixed the kick starter. While I was there I thought I would buy an extra plug at $25.00 per plug, what a joke, the dealer did not have any plugs in stock. The plug and kick starter they put on my bike came out of a bike off the showroom floor. Anyway got it home again and a couple laps around and same thing it died out and will not start. Took the plug out again and still nothing. It is now sitting on the trailer in the garage so it can go back again to the dealer tomorrow!
