A brave attempt at opening a newmarket in motorcycling: more than a scooter, less than a real touring bike, my 650 Burgman is an excellent short-haul machine for two people to tour the surrounding district. Likes include styling and finish, brakes and lighting, while the seat should be more adjustable for larger riders and Suzuki should make a bigger windscreen available for this market. Performance is adequate - how´s about 900 cc. if you´re sincere, Suzuki? Also increase wheel diameter while you´re about it to cope with bumpy country roads. Yes, the transmission whines and engine rattle seeps over the top of the screen unless you´re hitting more than 80 k´s/hr., but this is a small price to pay for weather protection, relative nimbleness in traffic and the ability to leave four-wheelers behind at the lights! After 9 months and almost 6 thousand gentle k´s, I´m very happy with the machine, overall, and the Suzuki shop could not be better for service and attention here in Coffs Harbour, NSW. T.
