You´re absolutely right about the V-Strom. But, its intentions are NOT for doing maximum speed. It´s a BIG, comfortable sport-touring bike with some light duty trailing capability. With its usable low/mid range torque, I can usually keep up with riders on sportbikes until I loose my ground clearence, while I´m sitting practically straight up! Strom is NOT a sportbike, it´s NOT setup to be a sportbike...
