I do not recommend the V-Strom off road. The highway tires will not hang on to dirt and the gearing is way too tall. I ride first gear up to 20 mph and it doesn´t have a gear for under 12 mph. You could change the tires and rear sproket, but the engine has so much torque it will just dig holes in dirt. It is top heavy. If it gets loose in the dirt you will probably not get it back before crashing.
