White smoke/Power loss

I have 98 CR125 and it was running great and then all of a sudden it started smoking like crazy a whitish smoke and lost a good bit of power. No slapping noise, bike still starts easy but no power and white smoke. Any ideas what might be the cause??? Thanks for any responses!!! Bill
