Having trouble with 2002 VTX1800R. 15K miles, symptoms are carbon fouled plugs and combustion chamber, Starts and runs okay until warm then starts missing intermittent idle slows almost to a stop, just cruising at 30-35 starts bucking and wants to die at stop sign. Crazy thing is when taking off at full throttle it is strong through all gears. As soon as you back off it does not run well at all slipping back into bucking, intermittent miss on one cylinder and won’t idle at all after completely warmed up.
Performed “ Ground Fix” on both primary and secondary ground connections and both coils thoroughly cleaning connections bolt and frame threads and removed powder coat at connection points. Used fuel stabilizer before storing bike for 8 months for medical reasons. Drained most of old fuel and put in new fuel. After Ground fix was performed and plugs cleaned it started easily but after 90 seconds it started idling poorly and missing again before I even got on the bike. Open to any ideas?
