I have an 03 vtx-c 1800 , I don´t think you can totally eleminate the poping but you can tune it down , I have vance nine straight shot pipes a cobra R fuel processor and K&N air filter , put new standard spark plugs in , I think the old ones were fowling up ,this year I tried partially synthectic 4 cycle oil mixed with standard 4 cycle oil 50/50 and the bike runs cooler , less popping .
