Tall rider on cbr?

I´m a fairly new rider and was thinking of buying a cbr 600rr. I´ve rode a zx6 and although it felt a little cramped in comparison to my friends cbr1000 it was still a good ride. I´m 6´ 4 240. Would the 600 be much smaller than a 1000. I´m fairly confident on sport bikes and have a healthy respect for power and safety. Would this be a smart purchase or would I look like a Shriner on a clown bike?
