Am looking at a´03 FatBoy. Has been lowered and has forward controls with floor boards. Two questions, please. 1. The handle bars are after-market and have the wires inside the bar. I prefer another bar, one that rises towards me and lets me lean backward more. I would have a dealer make the switch. Is this a big deal? 2. I´m short and the forward controls are an uncomfortable stretch - especially the brake pedal. I do like the floor boards. Is there a way to convert back to standard controls without losing the floorboards? How about shortening the arm on the brake pedal (could live with the gear shifts.) Thanks for any help. Been driving a Yamaha for many years, Honda before that, and am ready to grow up. (grin) |
