I´m a 56 yr old computer specialist just re-entering the world of motorcycles after 30 yrs. I found a good deal on a 2003 Blast nearby and have signed up to take the MSF course in a couple of weeks. I have heard that the bike has very good torque in 1st gear and less so in the other 4. I will be trailering it out to open roads for safety. I am not expecting it to be a screamer, but I am sure it will feel like it to me anyway. The last bike I rode was a Honda 350cc. I have been reading about potential modifications to make it safer; like making it louder and adding more front lights. Any suggestions on how or where to ride in the NC/VA area or on the bike itself are appreciated. I will be studying past posts to get as much info as possible. Thanks for allowing me to participate. |
