Hey Guy´s,
The deal as it stands is.... $450.00 + to have a hard overlayed re-grind done, you basically have a choice of grinds. However, I´m not firmly convinced about the re-case hardening of the finished article... Experience tells me that no-one can effectively replicate the "hardened" finish like the original factory finish... I´ve also looked into having re-ground camshafts nitrided, as this IMHO is the only way to go on a re-grind and the cost is $300 per cam...., doesn´t make them that cheap after all ...
You also have the problem with the reduced base circle on the cam eventually buggering your rockers somewhat prematurely...

Option 2. Ground billets, again to a myriad of different specs...
960.00 all up. IMHO the, overall, more cost effective way to go....
Provided you don´t go "silly" with the grind, the std spings and retainers should be well up to the task...

Well there you are, look forward to a bit of diatribe on the subject...
Still looking for those elusive 38mm flatslide or smooth bore carbs if any of y´all know of any...

C U
