The SS is staying... |

Hey Guys, After careful consideration, and a really bad trade in offer !!! I´ve decided to hang on to the SS, for the time being at least. As your all probably aware I´ve got a real "thing" for big V Twin´s and had found what I considered to be the ultimate successor to the TL 1000 that we got hit on last May... an RSV 1000 Aprilia, the deal was basically done until such time as the mention of money was made... $8500 was the offer ??? Truth be told if there hadn´t been so many people in the shop I would of hit the guy, I did inquire as to whether he was joking... to which he replyed "No... We´ve just traded one for that... (and to whoever owned it... You should be shot with a ball of your own sh*t for letting it into such a state in such a short period of time) Add to that the fact that I spent the better part of an hour on a mates RSV on a ride down round the Coromandel and found it absolutely stunning to ride but incredibly uncomfortable, I´ve still got a sore neck !!!, I´d sort of made up my mind then to keep and develop the SS... Not a bad old stick after all, one could say...!!! I´ve also been out on the SV 1000 and found that a bit to bloody sanitised... The TL S had some "character" that they seem to have forgotten to install on the SV !!! A nice bike for sure but nowhere near the aggressive, bite you in the ****, if your not paying attention, bike the TL S was !!! On a different note I´ve been corrosponding with Brendan Locke @ CSL (Camshaft Services Ltd) to see how far he can go in as far as reprofiling the SS cams, since L model GSX-R cams are like rocking horse pooh both here and in Oz. I´ve also made enquiries about some Stg 1 Yoshimura´s... Once I´ve heard back and confirmed prices I´ll post my findings. Who knows maybe we could get some sort of discount thing happening if theres enough interest... Oh... And before I go next "Track-Day" is on or around the 14th of Sept... Right O. Catch y´all later Wheeliemonsta |
