Really? Sounds like a cock up somewhere. Maybe the wrong resistor has been fitted because I think (dont quote me) that was the rpm that mine cut out at in top gear doing 180kph. If the wrong resistor is used it could be speed limiting in every gear instead. Maybe the connection has been broken and has put the resistor on the wrong end of the plug and the wire from the CDI is hanging in the breeze? It could be possible that the system defaults to the lowered rev limit for 5th gear if it becomes disconnected. Anyone tried just disconnecting their pink wire? |
