Yes it works but it´s a 1.5K ohm resistor. My resistor I got from dick smiths for 20 cents. Being a Jap market bike the law states that units retailed there have to have a 180 limit, same with the cars as well. Note, I was disapointed to see that the dash is only programmed to show 180 so when you do start powering through, the speed indication stops so dont be decieved. I also found once I did this that mine actually struggled to pull red line in top with the standard exhaust. Very restrictive. I did notice a performance difference when I put another muffler on but I remember back to the GSF1200 that a simple canister change was instant 15HP. Have fun! Klark |
