This has knothing to do with electrics, it is purely a mechanical vacumm pump. Why not utilise for another purpose? The pump is there to take fresh filtered air from the airbox and throw it down the exhaust ports. This causes a chemical reaction with the expelling exhaust gases which makes it increase in temperature and reduces the emission levels. So if you want to bump and grind with the engine you have a device fitted to the frame which can possibly help with the overall effect of pulling out the horsepower. Dragsters have been fitting these pumps for years so there must be a result. Kelford Cams already have a grind for these based on the GSF spec, grab an exhaust cam off an old L as our std exhaust cam is a wee bit sad in comparison to the std GSF1200 ex cam. The inlets the same and close to the R1100L. Cams, 40mm carbs, after market exhaust and if youre prepared to pay for high octane wherever you go can take up to 1mm off the head and most importantly once youve got the big horsey´s put in a GSX1400 air filter pod. much bigger intake diam. Vrroooooommm!! |
