| Hi Scottie Good to hear from you. I wasn´t able to access this board for a few days and only got your message now. The Graeme Crosby idea is interesting. Actually I have had a bit of a thought (get them occasionally). I work for a Japanese trading company. We import used cars among other things. It might be possible to import a used bike e.g. GS1200ss in one of the other colours. I´d have to ask a favour from one of our headquarters guys. I´m not talking about doing it on a commercial (profit making) basis but just as a way of getting a bike that is otherwise unavailable for my personal use. The black is nice but the other colour schemes are better. My "cash flow" is going to be the limiting factor but I have a couple of irons in the fire that should improve that position in a month or so, all things going well. It´s only an idea at this stage but I´ll research the costs and practicalities a bit and if I decide to go ahead with it I´ll let you know. On another subject, I´m organising a little business trip to the South Island next (I go there every now and then for some food export business we handle) and this time instead of renting a car I´m renting a bike (Ducati ST2). Gonna combine some business with a little pleasure. So I´m praying for decent weather. I´ve got to go north of Christchurch and over to the West Coast and down to Timaru, so I´m planning a loop that takes me over the Lewis Pass, down the West Coast and over the Haast Pass and Lindis Pass to Timaru. Yeeha!!!!!It´s a hard life!!! Cheers Kerry |
