Hi Graeme, This sounds very like a small problem I had with my GS. My bike was also noisy as I pulled away and through discussion with my local dealer and Suzuki NZ, they had a very simple fix. There is a emisions valve connected to the right hand carb through a small dia. rubber hose. All you have to do is insert a ball bearing into the hose , big enough to not be sucked along the hose, but small enough to squeeze up the small tube enough to re-attach the hose to the carb. It sounds out there I know ,and I was also sceptical, but it solved the problem immediately. The re-attachment is not really neccessary, I ended up attaching my Scott Oiler to this point.
