anyone who has brought a 1200 ss with the yoshi exhaust system supplied with bike , If your looking for horsepower or as much performance as possible out of the milder tuned SS motor, one good option is to pull the muffler apart and cut the inner small diameter perferated tube out of the center of the muffler, and left is a larger one of about 2.5 inches approx. Doing the job requires some engineering skills because you then have to add about 6 inches of new perf in to complete the baffle lenght, and you need to be able to weld ,or pay someone to do it.so your left with a free breathing rever with way better top end,you must rejet and get a better air filter thou to make it all work together.Ive mounted a foam uni filter under the seat at the back of the air box, which you have to make your own adapter.
