Hi Sorry I only just found this post again. When you fit bigger carbs you will need to fit the bigger rubber inlet mainifolds (1990 GSXR 1100 or 1989 GSXR 750 and then you might have to slightly slot the mounting holes. The mainifoild to port should match up pretty close for normal road riding however if you are after every bit of power, port matching and head porting will help with top end HP. I have fitted Mikuni RS38´s new from Aus with oval pod filters and the std jetting was close. Hope this helps. PS IVE now done cams, carbs, ECU, full exhaust, 5 deg timing advance and bike goes very well. just need 1216 11/1 compression kit and head port job then motor finished. (Approx 150HP)
