| 0-100 Miles Sputtering, Backfireing and dangerous hesitation - Dealer Checked. 500 Miles - Same problem persists- dealer claims its fine 600 miles (service) replace 4 plugs - Adjust CO levels out of federal Spec - runs better - hard starting cold - Hesitation gone. (third complaint they took it out of spec ) 1500 miles - Pops off Vacuume caps on Primary Carb - Continues this trend until I put clamps on all caps. - Runs great for a good while. Hard starting persists. 2500 Replace Brakes??? Found Damaged Rear Line (Hitting protruding bolt on framework, passanger weight and rear sag bends banjo fitting rear brake drags. Complained to Dealer and Manufacturer No response) Checked Showroom Machine - YUP Next **** Please ) Contacted Nat Highway transportation safety with photos - Ignored not enough complaints. 4500 Miles - Head Gasket leaks coolent at cyl base left side - replaced problem solved out of commission - who cared at this point 7,500 Miles Jumping out of 3rd gear, One day 2nd gear let go, Bad knocking noise - dissassembly inspection, Gear tooth peaned over in the reverse direction??? Dealer replaced 6th,5th,4th,2nd gears- In warranty - time out of commission 100+ days (parts delays) *Note - 3rd gear inspection indicated gear fork damage, never engaged properly since the gear was worn on the first 75% of its area. 12600 Miles - Right Front Fork Seal - Out of commission 2 weeks. Triumph replaced in warranty (Extended after numerious complaints) Never took reposession of machine from service department brought down title and drove away New Honda XX Same day - Never Again Triumph. Paid 12,995 + Tax Total Paid 14,800 Tradein - 6,800 jumped on it... see ya Insult to Injury - Triumph sends 2 years later "Purchase any new model year 2001-2003 triumph get free 3 day vacation getaway" Slap in the face a week later - Get up to $300.00 Free gear by purchasing 2001-2003 any model. Hows that for problems Ted? |
