Heated Grips

Does anyone know if this bike comes standard with heated grips? If not, is there an affordable heated-grip option available as an after market add on? I´m interested in buying this bike used and taking it for an Inter-American Highway trip down to Argentina--am I wasting my time on heated grips, or are they really worthwhile. Anyone with long-distance experience care to offer advice?
