The BMW is a 2002 R1150GS with 45,000 kms. Maintenance has been consistently done by the BMW Dealer in El Salvador Central America.

The failure occurred a couple miles out of Xela Guatemala, running at 5 over the speed limit, the GS just quits firing and will not restart at the side of the busy road. I cannot hear fuel pump noises when the ignition is turned on, checked the fuses and fuel pump fuse is burnt. Bike starts and start climbing the Guatemalan altiplano, after some 30 mins of riding, bike dies again. Stopped in the side of the road try to start bkike starts and this happens 5 or 6 times during the day until we get to the end of our journy San Salvador, El Salvador. Just changed all fuses for bosh fuses, trying to get spare relays, but havent been able to locate in El Salvador or on line in the US. If anyone can sugest possible suppliers, please sent e addresses so I can check and order. Gracias.
