1 to 1 1/2 finger length. That is the proper adjustment. I would preferbly keep it at 1 finger but adding or losing a half won´t make a difference with a bike of this size. Make sure to keep it adjusted, because if you don´t you will end up snaping the chain. Trust me, it just happened on my buddies 85.
