I sat on my first V-Strom 1000 today and at 5´8" and a 30" inseam it was a bit of a reach, but not bad. I was amazed at the balance and low center of gravity of this bike. MUCH more comfortable than the BMW GS (Which is a great bike), but I like the Strom better. Wating for the 2004 at this point. I´ve read so much about windshield problems I would like to have the three position option on the 2004. My only concerns are the following: 1) Does anyone know of a peg repositioning kit? Seems like the pegs are begging to be just an 1 1/2 forward. 2) I know this is not a true enduro, but I like the idea that I might ride some lite dirt fire roads. Does anyone have any experience with this with the Strom?
