Hope this will post successfully. Having internet problems. Yes, backfiring is quite common. I just purchased a slip on exhaust that is similiar to a screaming eagle. Send me an email next week and I´ll let you know if my new exhaust helps. It was inexpensive and I purchased it on ebay.
