I just upgrade from a Suzuki Marauder 800 to a 2002 Intruder 1500. After only a couple of hunderd kms the bike is awesome. Once you get one it the size disappears and it is a well balanced machine with a low centre of gravity. The only time I notice the weight is when I have to push into the garage. The company made a number of improvements in terms the brakes which seemed to have resolved some of the issues with earlier versions.
Once you get on the bike you just want to ride. Enjoy!
