Had a starting problem with my friends 2002 Intruder LC a new battery plus cleaned up battery cabling, ground cable termination to chassis and battery terminals which didn´t help to resolve the problem. I am a retired electrical engineer and I finely noticed that the grounding is a little light on gauge so I installed a healthy ground cable terminated on a engine mount. Solved the problem with no more starting issues. Yes, I left the original ground cable in place.
