So long as you don´t go over the red line and keep the oil changed at least to schedule (I change mine more often) you can go as fast as you want for as long as the police and your wallet permit. Think of tire condition, condition of brakes, oil changes, condition of drive chain, etc. That is, think preventive maintenance. Don´t think of "strain," it simply isn´t an issue. You can go 500,000 miles on that engine easy if you take care of things. However, if you let your drive chain deteriorate to the point that it breaks and whips around and whacks a hole in your transmission or engine case, that´s as far as you go until you fix it. Paul |
