Tires for Nighthawk 750

I´m new to riding and need to replace the current tires on my ´91 Nighthawk. I don´t particularly care about achieving high mileage--I´m more interested in getting tires that will give me the best all-around traction/performance for general riding. Any suggestions, or should I go w/OEM Dunlops?
