This is a known problem with the magna´s V-4...honda put out a technical service bulletin to all its dealers. the problem stems from lack of oiling at the sides of the cam lobes which can be solved by drilling a few small holes...not 3000.00 worth!! the service bulletin number is VF750C#1 the following is a website address where i found a copy of the actual bulletin ..i suggest printing it out and taking it to your dealer...im sure if you kick up enough fuss they will cover it under warranty..if they arent willing to I´d try to keep going up the ladder at honda till you get some satisfaction. By the way...i have a 2002 magna...same problem....you´d think if they put out tsb´s on the problem they would correct it at the factory wouldnt you!!?? The web address for the tsb is www.magnariders.com/html/tiptrick/service_bulletin.html good luck |
