I recently rode the new VFR800 and was well impressed, so much so that I ordered one straight away (ABS). It´s being delivered on 25th October, and I´m really looking forward to getting some riding in before the UK weather stops pleasurable riding. I ordered one in silver, which apparently is a limited edition colour (could be the dealer feeding me a line too!!). It´s got enough power for me. Some people have criticised the linked brakes, but I never found them to be intrusive. I would think the only time they would be undesirable is on a track. Since I don´t do track days, it´s not a problem. The ABS is nice to have for emergencies. Also with the ABS version you get a nice pre-load adjuster for the rear suspension - handy if you´re taking a pillion passenger. All in all a great bike, I´m looking forward to some good rides. |
