I have a 2002 and love it. The VTEC kicking in at 7000 is like a turbo. There is so much balls to this bike below 7000 that you probably will not have to worry about a surge in the corners. I have heard adding a two brothers pipe and a power commander lessens the transition if it bothers you. The only negative thing is the vibration does increase at 7K.
