Problems my son and I have experienced with his 2002 R6, shortly after buying bike would stall when hot and would not restart until cooled down, removing the gas cap released pressure and then the bike would start again, found tank vent hoses pinched, replaced and rerouted hoses, all good, very common problem, recently we replaced the tires, stock front tire was no longer available, larger tire installed, online tech tip stated front fender may need to be notched out and lifted for clearance, DO NOT DO THIS!! after riding a minute fender fell back down and was destroyed, reason we moved fender after tire replacement we heard a noise sounded like tire hitting fender, it was actually, front wheel bearing, if you are changing the tires i would rec replacing the wheel bearings. Anothe problem we experienced was the online shop manual states to torque the wheel shaft bolts to 52ft lbs for the front wheel DO NOT DO THIS!!! and 105ft lbs for rear, front wheel would not even turn at this torque, we had to loosen bolt almost finger tight to get the wheel to turn. the rear torque did not seem to matter. Note;when the front wheel bearing goes bad, you will loose front brake pressure and feel a wobble when pressing brake, this is not a brake issue but the wheel bearing. All seems to be o.k. now, waiting for new fender to arrive, In case you are thinking he should have had the dealer do this, he attemted to, but the first dealer (formally great lakes motor sports) were he went for a simple \
