Thinking of Buying a Buell Blast

I am thinking of buying a used Blast. I used to have many cycles years ago and am quite mechanically inclined. I´d like to have a bike to zip around town in and this bike looks good for that. Some of my questions are: Is this a fairly smooth running motor or does it have vibration points that are unbareable? If I were to run on the highway, what would you consider a max. cruising speed? I enjoy looking at this site and reading comments about the blast, but I seem to read about alot of problems with this bike. Thank you for any responses.
